🌱 About Us

The vision for Elid Alliance Bible Institute was born during a time of reflection at the General Assembly held on June 3-7, 2025, in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Its founder, Pastor Rhodnnie Jessnor Elid Austria, was inspired by a conversation among pastors about the positive impact of Bible schools on the growth of Alliance churches. This vision became even clearer during an alumni fellowship at City Alliance Church of Palawan, where a pastor shared the story of a student who was sent to Mindanao for ministry training but ended up settling there and did not return to serve in Palawan.

Determined to ensure the continuity of ministry in his home region, Pastor Austria set out to establish a Bible school in Luzon. His goal is to train and send out 100 students, so that the work of the ministry will continue for generations. With the encouragement and support of Rev. Faustino Aguilar Jr.β€”a retired worker and assistant pastor at Mutual Homes Gospel Christian Churchβ€”Pastor Austria was further inspired by Rev. Aguilar's experience in helping to start PACT with former Bishop Dr. Valmike Apuzen, where church planting was a graduation requirement. In the same spirit, Elid Alliance Bible Institute is dedicated to training students to plant churches throughout Luzon.

The institute is named in honor of the late Rev. Reynato Elid Sr., Pastor Austria's grandfather, who faithfully served as a pastor in Sulu and Tawi-Tawi for 25 years and was well-known within CAMACOP. The school is a tribute to his enduring legacy in ministry.

Pastor Rhodnnie Jessnor Elid Austria, the founder, has served as a pastor for nine years and is currently the head pastor of Mutual Homes Gospel Christian Church (CAMACOP), a position he has held for nearly five years. He is the author of Identity First, Destiny Second, a discipleship material used by his church for outreach and spiritual growth. In addition to his ministry work, Pastor Austria is an entrepreneur and a Certified Technical Analyst from the Society of Technical Analysts Philippines.

He believes that, unlike insects such as ants who specialize in a single task, humans are meant to be generalistsβ€”continually learning and growing in many areas. As the saying goes, "Jack of all trades, master of none, but still better than a master of one." This philosophy shapes the vision of Elid Alliance Bible Institute: to equip future leaders who are well-rounded, adaptable, and ready to serve wherever they are called.

🧭 Founder's Philosophy in Doing Ministry

Elid Alliance Bible Institute

In his study of the economic context during the time of Jesus, the founder of Elid Alliance Bible Institute discovered a profound truth: Rabbis and scribes were not paid for their ministry. Their calling was considered so holy that it could not be equated with monetary compensation. Instead, they were known for their secular tradesβ€”just like the Apostle Paul, who was a tentmaker.

Paul's life gives us a powerful example: when the church couldn't support him financially, he didn't abandon the ministryβ€”he returned to tentmaking. But when the support resumed, he also set aside the business to focus fully on preaching. This balance of calling and practicality shaped our founder's conviction that it is both wise and biblical for pastors to have a side business or source of income, especially if their churches are not yet able to support them fully.

In fact, the founder testifies that his own business income not only supports his family, but also helps sustain and grow the church through faithful giving.

Another core belief he holds is this:

"Insects specialize. Humans grow."

In the insect world, if an ant is born to gather food, that is all it does until it dies. If it is a soldier, it will guard the queen for life. But humans were created to adapt, to learn many skills, and to never stop growing.

Unfortunately, many people live their entire lives focused only on the one degree they finished in college, limiting their growth and opportunities. The founder teaches his students that ministers should not stop learning or exploring. He believes in this popular saying:

"Jack of all trades, master of none, is still better than master of one."

This is the heart of Elid Alliance Bible Institute's training philosophy: to develop multi-skilled, self-sustaining, and spiritually grounded pastors who can lead churches, support their families, and impact communities without depending on others for survival.
